About The Conference
The Chapter Officer Retreat for Excellence (CORE) is a leadership conference designed to equip Georgia TSA local chapter officers with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles. Held at the beautiful Kaplan Mitchell Retreat and Conference Center in Clayton, Georgia, this experience fosters personal growth, teamwork, and strategic planning for the upcoming year.
CORE offers attendees the chance to refine their leadership abilities, gain insights into effective chapter management, and collaborate with fellow officers from across the state. Through interactive training sessions led by state TSA officers, participants develop essential skills tailored to their specific positions. Engaging team-building activities provide practical tools for strengthening chapter cohesion, ensuring leaders return home with strategies to enhance their TSA communities.

As part of their registration fee, all participants will receive a Cohort Group Wristband that must be worn both days, and a CORE T-shirt that will identify their Cohort Color, to be worn on Saturday. Comfortable clothes for camping are encouraged, such as blue jeans, shorts, T-shirts, tennis shoes and/or sandals for hiking. You will need a light jacket – preferably one that is rain-proof. You will need pants of some type for the evening as it gets much cooler in the mountains when the sun goes down! Dress clothing and high-heels of any type are discouraged.
