I come from a family of engineers—Electrical, Nuclear, and Mechanical—so it was no surprise when I pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech. My career took me to the Gulf Coast in 2005, but after Hurricane Katrina, I transitioned into education. I earned my Math teaching certification from Drexel University, followed by certifications in Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering & Technology. This is my 21th year as an educator and 5th at GTHS. 

I grew up in the Martinez/Evans area and graduated from Lakeside High School.  I currently live in Evans with my husband, three kids, and our three dogs.
