My name is Lora Golden, and I am teaching my third year at Grovetown Middle School! I have previously taught at Thomson-McDuffie Middle and Georgia School for Innovation and the Classics, and this is my 8th year as a teacher. I have a Bachelor's in English and Secondary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as my Gifted certification. I have known I wanted to teach since I was in the 2nd grade, and I am dedicated to supporting the students in my room and creating a positive learning environment that focuses on personal growth.

I live with my husband of 8 years, James, and my nephew Corvin. In my free time, I enjoy writing, playing video games, and of course, watching Netflix, Youtube, or whatever else to get in some background noise. 

I try to bring positivity and humor to teaching to build good relationships with my students. All of my students are loved and appreciated for who they are.
