Officer Responsibilities
As an officer, you are a member of the Leadership Team. This officer team plays a vital role in planning projects, workshops, and events. Your main duty is to be a contributing and supportive member of the team.
Be on time for all meetings, activities, and field trip departure times.
Attend all leadership/officer meetings, Club Days, and events. Communicate with your advisor if unable to attend ahead of time.
Must attend all conferences on the regional and state levels, including (if unable to attend, communicate with advisor in advance):
Must complete at least two levels of the Business Achievement Awards (BAA).
Is expected to possess a strong base of knowledge about FBLA and be able to intelligently discuss ideas and issues affecting the chapter.
Prepare and present activities to the chapter during Club Days.
Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations when asked to visit other schools and conferences.
Communicate with FBLA members and the Leadership Team.
Recruit new members to the chapter.
Contribute ideas for improving the FBLA chapter.
Work closely with the adviser and always keep them informed.
Officers will serve as a model representative for FBLA. Officers are called upon many times to make presentations before adults and students, and at times will need to miss school to represent FBLA.
