On the standards-based report card, the learning expectations and standards are outlined for each quarter. Instead of receiving one grade per content area, you will receive a breakdown of your student’s performance by each standard. Standards taught and assessed later in the year are left blank on the report. The standards-based report card will provide you with the opportunity to identify strengths and areas of needs improvement for your student. All students are expected to establish mastery of the standard by the end of the school year. The criteria for meeting the standard may change every nine weeks as the performance expectations of the standards become more rigorous each quarter.
