Head coach
Coach Hutto takes over Evans Knights football program with 29 years of experience, nine of those years as a head coach. As a head coach, Hutto has made seven appearances in the GHSA state playoffs. Most recently, Hutto was the head coach of the Westside Patriots. Prior to coaching, Hutto attended the University of West Georgia where he earned a bachelor's degree in education. Hutto also graduated from Troy University with a master's degree in education. When Coach Hutto is not coaching football, he enjoys going to the beach, collecting vintage vinyl records and spending time with his wife, Hollie, their son, Patterson and his daughter-in-law, Caroline.
Offensive coordinator & Offensive line coach
Coach Troutman has been coaching football for 10 years, all at Evans. This will be his second year as the offensive coordinator. He is also a math teacher at Evans Middle. Coach Troutman is also the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach. He has a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Emmanuel College, and a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology for the University of West Georgia. He also played 4 years of lacrosse at Emmanuel College and was a three year captain and 2 year Academic All-Conference selection. His hobbies are golf, men’s league lacrosse and camping. Coach Troutman is married to Jessica.
Defensive coordinator/safeties coach
Coach Acree has been coaching football for 17 years with 8 of those years at Evans. He is also a History Teacher. Coach Acree has a B.A. in History from the University of Georgia and a M.A. in Teaching from Augusta University. He is also an Evans High School Alumni. Coach Acree is married to the former Randi Jones from Martinez, GA. and has two children Andrew and Madelyn.
Offensive Line & h-backs coach
Coach Morris is entering his third year of coaching football, two of those years being at Evans. Prior to this season, Morris was an assistant coach at Harlem High. Coach Morris is also an assistant boys lacrosse coach and a special education paraprofessional at Evans. Prior to coaching, Morris played football at Georgia Military College. Currently, he is working towards completing his B.S. in special education at Augusta University. When he is not coaching, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is also recently engaged to Anna Grace Watkins.
DEFENSIVE LINE COACH
Coach Prescott is entering his fourth year of coaching football at Evans. He is an English/Language Arts teacher and also an Evans Alumni. He has a B.A. in Communications from Berry College where he played 4 years of college football, winning three Southern Athletic Association Conference championships. Prescott was also selected to the SAA Academic Honor Roll. He also has his M.A. in Teaching from Augusta University. When he is not on the football field he enjoys working out, cooking and fishing. He is married to Amberlee Prescott.
RUNNING BACKS COACH
Coach Lewis joins the Knights with over 30 years of football coaching experience, which includes a previous stint as a defensive coordinator. Prior to coaching, Lewis attended the University of Phoenix. When he is not coaching, Coach Lewis enjoys weightlifting and spending time with his wife, Latricia.
iNSIDE LINEBACKERS COACH
Coach Bennett has been coaching football for 18 years, all at Evans. He is a Interrelated Resource Teacher. Coach Bennett also is the Head Track Coach and has served as assistant baseball coach. He was on the first baseball State Championship Team at Evans. Coach Bennett played baseball at Southern Union State Community College and Jacksonville State, and was also invited out to play on the St. Joseph Cardinal Developmental League. He also holds a B.S. Degree in Physical Education from Augusta State University. He enjoys fishing, building odd projects and operating the sound board at his church. Coach Bennett is married to Amanda and they have two daughters Kayla and Katlyn.
Quarterbacks and Wide receivers COACH
Coach Gunter is entering his ninth year of coaching football, his first with Evans. Prior to coaching at Evans, Gunter has coached at Grovetown High and Lake Stephens in Washington state. Gunter has also earned multiple degrees, including a bachelor's in criminal psychology from the University of Toledo in 2011, a bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies from Louisiana State University in 2025 and graduated from Aurora University's Homeland Security Graduate program in 2012. Gunter was also a member of the Toledo Rockets and Aurora Spartans football teams. When Coach Gunter is not coaching football, he enjoys cooking, attending NASCAR race days and watching college football. He is married to Ashley Gunter and they have three daughters, Marley, Athena and Zoe.
CORNERBACKS COACH
Coach Musick has been coaching football for 15 years, all at Evans. He is a Health/Physical Education Teacher. Coach Musick is also the Head Boys Basketball Coach and an Evans Alumni. He has a B.S. in Science Education from Augusta University and a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Coach Musick enjoys coaching his son’s travel ball teams, boating and camping. He is married to Bre and has two children, Brooklen and Marshall.
