About Me

This makes my 4th year at Evans High School, but 11th year as a Knight (my 16th year teaching). I am originally from Kentucky, but I graduated from the University of Florida with my Bachelor's of Arts in Education in 2001 and my Master's of Education in 2002. I received my Education Specialist degree from Augusta University in May 2021. I am currently working on my Doctorate at Kennesaw State University.

After graduating from Florida in 2002, I moved to Hawaii, where I got my first teaching job and met my husband who was a Sailor in the US Navy. He retired in 2019 and is now teaching at Riverside Middle. Because of his career, we have lived in Texas, Florida, Maryland, and Georgia. We have 2 daughters, Sarah and Maggie. We also have 3 cats and 2 dogs.

In my free time, I love to read (especially young adult fiction), binge Netflix shows, and play both tennis and pickleball.
