COACH ANDREA RILEY

Mrs. Andrea Geneva Riley is a native of Augusta, Georgia and the daughter of Geneva L. Brinson and the late James Brinson Jr.  She graduated with honors from Thomas Walter Josey High School in Augusta, Georgia.  Mrs. Riley went on to pursue her collegiate studies at Paine College, Albany State University; where she received her B.S. in Biology, Kennesaw State University; B.S. in Chemistry, and Central Michigan University; M.Ed. in Instruction (Magna Cum Laude).  She also studied at Life University in the School of Chiropractic Medicine for 3 years.  Mrs. Riley played various sports during high school and college, which included basketball, tennis, track and field, and softball.  She was a member of Albany State University’s Concert Chorale and Gospel Choir, which the choir toured many European cities. 

Mrs. Riley has worked as an adjunct professor at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, Georgia teaching Anatomy Physiology. She has been an educator for over 18 years as a science teacher.  She has volunteered as a Statistician and Bookkeeper for Varsity football as well as JV and Varsity Basketball.  She has also worked as an announcer for Evans Middle School Football games, as well as various activites at the high school.  She has coached basketball, competitive cheerleading, tennis and track and field.

She has served as  the Administrator/Assistant Coach of track and field at Evans High School.  She is a Level 3/ IAAF Level 5 certified USATF (United States Track and Field) coach and coaches at the club level with Lane 4 Track Club.  Mrs. Riley is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.  She is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and is involved in the Deaconess Ministry, Children’s Ministry and Imani Praise choir.

Mrs. Riley is the wife of Deacon Tyson O. Riley, Sr.  They have been married for over 21 years.  They have 4 children, Tyson Omar Riley, II (5x Junior Olympian), Geneva C. Riley, Olivia G. Riley, and Noah L. Riley.
