Program Goal:
The goal of the Euchee Creek Elementary counseling program is to help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they can achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.

As your child's school counselor, I will encourage development in academics, career exploration and positive personal, emotional and social growth. While collaborating with ECE teachers, staff and families; I will recognize student needs and implement a diverse and comprehensive school counseling program.
All services strive to meet my students' academic, personal, social and career needs. My counseling program and lessons are derived from standards of the American School Counselor Association National model for School Counselors.
What do Elementary School Counselors Do?
School counselors have many roles/duties. We deliver classroom guidance to students, consult with parents and staff members, work with outside agencies, and conduct individual and group counseling. In addition to these tasks, the counselors in our county coordinate and manage gifted testing.
Our School Counseling Program provides:
Classroom Lessons: I reach all of our student population through teaching classroom guidance lessons. I will visit your child’s classroom several times during the school year to teach guidance lessons. Some of the topics for classroom guidance include: friendship, kindness, effective problem-solving, diversity, conflict resolution and coping skills.
Small Group Counseling: Group counseling is provided for students who may benefit from group work help with friendships, social skills, goal setting, self-esteem, grief, divorce and other areas.
Individual Counseling: short-term work with students to meet social, emotional, and behavioral goals.
