About the Teacher

My name is Sarah Ashley Dowdy. I have lived in Augusta my whole life. I grew up in the Columbia County School System. I graduated from Augusta University with my Bachelor's and Master's degrees and Specialist Degree. I am a huge sports fan. GO JAGS & GO DAWGS! I love spending time with my family and two dogs, Bella and Baxter. If dogs could be class pets, they would be ours! I absolutely adore my littler sister and am her #1 fan when she's on the basketball court. She plays for Flagler College down in Saint Augustine, Florida. I spend a lot of time down there! I could eat Mexican food everyday of the week. I have the biggest sweet tooth. I'm 30 years old, but still slightly obsessed with all things Disney. Hint: the Disney theme classroom! My classroom is my favorite place to be. I know I am there for a reason and I try to fulfill whatever reason that may be everyday. My biggest goal is to make learning fun and for every student to leave with a smile on their face.
