Cynthia Estrada M.Ed. , MAT
Spanish Educator
My name is Ms. Estrada and I am thrilled and excited to be your Spanish teacher at Greenbrier High School.
A large part of teaching is figuring out how students learn. Teaching enables me to draw upon my own personal experiences as I teach my students to effectively communicate with me and perhaps more importantly, to gain an appreciation for learning a second language while expanding their horizons.
I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as my community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in hopes that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits.

Hello, I'm Cynthia Estrada, and I'm thrilled to be your Spanish teacher at Greenbrier High School. This is my 10th year teaching, and I am originally from El Paso, Texas. In my free time, I love reading, spending time outdoors, and being with my husband and our children. We have two daughters who proudly serve in the Navy and two amazing boys still in grade school.
A significant milestone in my career was earning my second Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on World Languages/Spanish from Georgia State University in May 2024. This achievement followed my first Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 2018. I’m now pursuing my Doctorate in Education, continuing my commitment to advancing my knowledge and skills in the field. My educational background also includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Education in and an Associates Degree in Arts of Education.
I’m excited to spend this year working with my students, helping them grow and develop their language skills. I look forward to a year full of learning and success!

Translators are not allowed, and tend to lead to more errors than clear communication. On the other hand, dictionaries, online or hard copy, are a great tool to help you expand your communication skills!
