Welcome to Spanish Class

My name is Ms. Estrada and I am thrilled and excited to be your Spanish teacher at Greenbrier High School.

A large part of teaching is figuring out how students learn. Teaching enables me to draw upon my own personal experiences as I teach my students to effectively communicate with me and perhaps more importantly, to gain an appreciation for learning a second language while expanding their horizons.

I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as my community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in hopes that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits.

About Your Teacher

My name is Cynthia Estrada and this is my 9th year teaching. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and in my spare time I enjoy reading, outdoor activities, riding horses, and spending time with my husband and our children. We have two daughters who proudly serve in the NAVY and two amazing boys still in grade school.

One of my greatest accomplishment within my career path was achieving my 2nd Master’s Degree of Education in World Languages/Spanish through Georgia State University in May 2024 while already holding a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction through “The University of Texas at El Paso” (PICKS UP!!) also known as UTEP (2018). I also hold my Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Education and an Associates Degree in Arts of Education.

I am a hardworking and trusted educator who strives to collaborate with all members of the school community to meet the needs of the students and promote the philosophy of the school.

We will be using these materials EVERYDAY in order to acquire techniques within learning and organization skills.

As a result, students will be able to make sense of what they learn.

The notebook assures assignments are kept together in a regular place and in a logical order.

Students who struggle with organization often find this very helpful. Instead of a million random worksheets, students have everything organized in one place. No loose paper assignments will be accepted.
