Getting to know Coach Wuchte
Hello and thank you for visiting my web-page! My name is Wesley Wuchte (WOOK-T) and I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. I graduated from Evans High School in 2007 and went on to Aiken Technical College for two years to continue my academic and basketball career. After ATC, I finished my Bachelors degree at Augusta State University for education in 2012, I completed my Masters in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in coaching, from Georgia Southern University in 2019, and I graduated from Valdosta State University in the Summer of 2021 with my Specialist in Coaching. I am going into my 11th year of teaching and 15th year of coaching. I am a sports fanatic (BRONCOS AND AUBURN), dog loving (TWO labs), superhero junkie, Hogwarts advocate who loves spending time with my beautiful wife (who is the assistant principal at Stevens Creek Elementary School) and son Oliver (#proudfather). I currently assistant coach the middle school football team at GTMS and I am the associate head coach for the varsity boys basketball team at Grovetown High School. Prior to GTHS, I was the Head Boys Basketball coach at Lincoln County High School for three years and then assistant coached at Aquinas High School for two years following that. I am looking forward to a great school year and look forward to meeting and coaching each one of you!Â
