Project Lit

What is Project Lit?

Project LIT was started in 2016 by a group of students in Nashville, Tennessee. One of the goals of Project LIT is to eliminate book deserts (places where books are unavailable or where choices are so limited students do not bother reading). We are very blessed to have a library and a librarian that provide us with a variety of genres and interests. This year we want to make sure that each GTHS student understands that they have the opportunity to become a part of Project LIT this may be reading the "featured book" of the month, reading a different book but joining in the discussion, volunteering to read to younger students, donating books, suggesting books, or just simply spending time reading. So take a moment and find a book. If you don't enjoy it, don't force yourself to read it; choose another one. The choices are endless, and there is a book waiting for you.
