Class overview
We will be working through our HMH reading book and learning various skills along the way. There are 10 modules within the 2 books for our grade level. Quizzes and tests will be posted in the class and filled in the student planners and announced on the weekly newsletter.
Writing and Grammar will be worked on in class, and we will work to develop the students as writers.
We will be working on our cursive writing throughout the school year and will send home weekly cursive practice.

About me
This is my 28th year in Education. I spent 16 years teaching at North Harlem Elementary, and this is my 12th year at Blue Ridge. In addition to 5th grade, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade and enjoyed all of them. I graduated in June of 2023 with my Ed.D.
