Digital Learning Days
The second semester Digital Learning Day will be here soon. All students may learn from home on this day; however, elementary students now have the option to participate in Digital Learning Day at their school.
The primary goal of Digital Learning Day is to provide all students with learning opportunities while sharpening their skills in technology. The Digital Learning Day will be a half day of instruction for students and should take no more than four hours to complete all activities.
Parents of elementary students who plan for their child to participate in Digital Learning Day from home must complete the required school form prior to March 3, 2023. Click here: https://forms.gle/TJoHLHGRKWa4Zm9M6
If an elementary student is planning to participate in Digital Learning Day at the school, no action is required.
Students will receive quality instruction in the format of recorded lessons from his/her teacher in all content areas using the district’s academic standards.
Students will use the Classlink Student Portal to login to their Google Classroom or Seesaw course pages, where they will access assignments, resources, and other materials.
Student work should be turned in through Google Classroom/Seesaw prior to returning to school. If the digital access is not available, the student will have three days from the day of return to complete the assignment(s).
Teachers will share additional information with students about Digital Learning Days, including how they will support student learning during the day. (For example, some teachers may set up a discussion board while others may use online conference tools or be available via phone.)
