Learning about how science helps us to understand our world

About Me

  • This is my 26th year teaching and my 17th year at Evans High School.

  • I have taught just about every science class out there over the years and really like my job and try to get my students to have fun learning.

  • I have my BA from Clemson University in Biological Sciences and a MS from Washington State University in Ecology/Evolution where I studied how virus can affect evolution in natural plant populations.

  • I finished my teaching certification at UNC - Asheville

  • I have been married for 22 years and have 2 children, who both attend Evans High School.

  • I also have 2 rescue dogs - a beagle and a mixed breed (we have no idea what he is a mix of!)

General Class Information

  1. Each Class has a tab at the top of the page

  2. No matter which platform you are using, be prepared

  3. These are strange times and it is hard to keep up with 130+ students, so make sure you are checking your work is submitted, not just uploaded

  4. ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND

  5. Almost all work will be turned in via Goggle Classroom. This will lessen movement around the room and, if someone does have to miss school, they can easily see what they missed and work to catch up.

  6. Classroom codes are on individual class pages.

  7. We are all in this together and I will do my best to help you be successful this year.
