Meet the Teacher

Hi, My name is Tara Postell and I will be your child's 5th grade teacher this school year 2022-2023. This will be my 18th year teaching. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. This is my 5th year at Evans Elementary. My educational background include a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a math endorsement.

I enjoy building a rapport with my students by sharing stories and reading to them. I truly believe that students learn well in a structured environment, sharing experiences, and showing them how what they are learning is vital to becoming a productive member of society.

My husband, Jacob Postell and I have two beautiful daughters, Madison (15) and Madilyn(8). As a family, we enjoy family time, playing games, traveling, and cooking.
