About Me

Hello! I am Kaytlin Alcorn and I started in District 76 in 2018. I taught 5th grade at Quest Charter Academy in Peoria, IL before coming here. I taught 6th grade English, and now teach 8th. I grew up in East Peoria, Illinois. I attended Glendale, Central, and finally East Peoria High School. I am very familiar with the area, as I've spent much time in Creve Coeur growing up. Educationally, I attended ICC for two years and received my Associate Degree. From there I moved on to Illinois State University to obtain my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education.

Currently I enjoy reading, going to concerts and movies, and hanging out with my friends and family. The school year also has me on a caffeine kick; I can usually be found with an iced coffee in my hand. I have one sister; she and my parents both live in East Peoria. I'm very close with my cousin, his wife & 3 children.

I love teaching at Parkview, and I can't wait to see where my career takes me. I am the sponsor of Parkview Student Council, and I am the co-sponsor of drama club with Matthew Conolly. I work with a great staff and I love the relationships I get to form with each of my students.
