At DYIBS, we believe that athletics motivate students and as a result they perform better in school life. Athletics provide our students with a way to become emotionally and mentally stable. DYIBS encourages dedication, determination and teamwork. We believe that our students will benefit as they apply these skills to other areas of their life.
Our athletics program is all-inclusive with the goal of getting all students involved.

DYIBS offers a variety of activities, extracurriculars and field trips. Students can try out a variety of activities based on their interests.
Primary School
Some previous extracurricular activities offered at our primary school were art, chess, environmental science, inline skating, Kong fu, reader’s theatre, Tae Kwon-Do, unicycle, yoga, etc.
Secondary School
Some previous extracurricular activities offered at our secondary school were skateboarding, French, ukulele and unmanned vehicle clubs.
In order to provide our students with a variation of activities, the extracurricular club classes offered by DYIBS may change each semester.
At DYIBS, we encourage our students to apply the knowledge and skills they learn to real world situations. As part of the learning experience, all classes participate in a variety of field trips during the school year. These trips take place within the greater Kaohsiung area. In the past we have visited the Chimei Museum, Institute of Wildlife Conservation, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, National Science and Technology Museum, Shuangliu National Forest Recreation Area, etc.
As our students grow older, we venture further away from Kaohsiung, and even travel abroad. In the past our 6th grade students have traveled to Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.
