Grading

Chorus rehearsals and concerts are 80% of the overall grade. This grade will reflect the student’s overall improvement, preparedness and behavior. Any tests, assignments, and written work will count 20%. Missed concerts will need to be made up, either by singing the concert music for the teacher after the event, or by completing a written assignment based on the music studied for that particular concert. There will be a final test at the end of the year, based on information used in virtually every rehearsal. Final average is determined by adding the four marking period averages and the final exam, and dividing by 5.
