How Can I help at the Fun Run?
We have created a SignupGenius where registered Dividends can sign up to help at the event. Not sure if you are a registered Dividend yet? Applications must be renewed each school year here: https://dvd.scps.k12.fl.us/
When you arrive to help you will check in at the front office and then head back to the PE Pavillion.
How can I ensure my child is able to participate in the event?
Parent permission slips have been sent home with all students. Please ensure you have signed and returned the form to your child(ren)s teacher. If you have not seen the form or need a duplicate please reach out to the school so they can provide you with the document. Phone calls will also be made prior to the event for students that do not have parent permission on file to try to ensure that all students are able to participate in this fun event with their friends.
When will my child participate?
Students will participate in the Fun Run on November 9th with their class during their normal specials time.
Why Apex Leadership?
Each year our PTSA board meets monthly to plan events, programs, and fundraisers to support our school and families. As a Title 1 school we always seek ways to raise funds for vital programs that are fun, easy to implement, and minimize the burden on individual families. Apex Fun Runs allow ALL students with parent permission to participate in a fun outdoor activity and character lessons even if they do not raise funds. The Apex platform gives us the tools and support needed to run the weeklong event as well as keeping the large majority of funds raised right here at our school to support our classrooms. AND Each Apex lesson relates directly to Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” which is important as a Leader In Me School.
*Apex is an approved SPCS vendor and All Apex Team Members have been background checked through the school district.
Who can I reach out to if I have more questions?
Our Vice President of Ways and Means Lindsay Feist would be happy to answer any additional questions.
