Welcome to CBTJ! We're excited to have you here. Here's some information to help the day run as smoothly as possible.
The building and office will open at 6:30am. When you arrive, please check in with us in the the main office.
Students should be dropped off at the main doors behind the school.
Vehicle parking will be in the main lot in the back of the building closest to the football practice field / track. Vehicles can also be parked across the street in Hy-Vee's parking lot. Please park in the area closest to the gas station.
Don't forget your ballots. If you do, please come to the main office. We will be happy to make one for you.
All centers will be starting at 8:00am. Radio News prep will begin at 7:30am for the first performer. Centers 1 & 2 will be in the TJAC. This is located in the other building on campus behind the main building.
We will be using what we call the "old field house" as the home base for your students. When you come into the building the gym will be to your right once you enter our commons area.
We will have FOOD. I know there is food within walking distance, but we please ask students to stay on campus for lunch both to help our program and safety with the busy streets. Please ask your students to bring small bills. Coming up with change for $20 does get difficult after a while. We will also have card readers and accept venmo payments.
Should the weather decide to get nasty, a decision will made by 5am the day of the contest. We will contact local media (WOWT, KJAN) as well.
Please keep checking the schedule. Updates online will happen as quickly as they can be processed. The schedule will be sent to the printer early next week. Remember, special requests MUST go through Stacy. If you have changes, please refer to the Change Form.
All scores must be posted before you can obtain your comment sheets. If you wish to leave before they are all posted, please bring a mailing envelope with plenty of postage to the main office.
We will be posting scores in the homeroom area.
