The Peninsula Strikers coaching program is based on the the Football Australia National Curriculum. The four building blocks is a framework that provides practical guidelines for coaches working at all levels of youth development
Coach Education is important to the club. It can bring about change and improvement is to better educate coaches, especially the ones that work with youth players. Better coaching will inevitably lead to better football.
Ball possession-based football – playing from the back through the middle to the front
In possession play – players will pass the ball to a team mate and move to support them
Out of possession play – players will work hard to get the ball back and mark / track opponents
Players will develop technical ball mastery and game play that allows creativity and individualfreedom of expression
Laws of the Game - This links to the Football Australia portal where you a required to register. Its a set of questions primarily aimed at those who are wanting to become a referee, but is also available to coaches, parents and players who are simply wanting to gain a better understanding of the Laws of the Game. After completing the course participants will receive a certificate
