Mr. Griffith's Personal History . . .
I grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI and graduated from Chi-Hi. I went to UW-Eau Claire, played football and wrestled for the Blugolds as well as coached at South Junior High, Eau Claire Memorial and Altoona. I met my wife Kathy and graduated with a Mathematics Major and Physical Education Minor.
I have 5 children. Gabbi, Jon John, Audi, A.J. and Tyler. They are all grown now and we try and see them as often as we can. We also have 3 little dogs, Peaches, Little Man and Dobby, two cats, Winky and Ginger and two little parakeets, Comet and Pickles.
My first teaching job I taught Computers and Math for 1 year at Eau Claire Regis, before moving on to the Spooner area. While I was in Spooner, I was a Math and Computer Teacher, District Computer Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, Facilities Coordinator, Transportation Director and coached/advised many activities including HS & MS Football, Wrestling, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Baseball, SADD Club, Class Advisor and participated in many community activities including the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and the Spooner Rodeo.
I received a Masters degree in Education in Professional Development (emphasis in curriculum design and technology) from UW-Eau Claire. I also was selected to the fourth group of WASDI (Wisconsin Academy of Staff Development Initiative) Lead Teachers group that studied and did research on brain development and educational leadership. I went back to school again to receive a second Masters degree in Education Administration from UW-Superior
My last stint going to school I received a specialist degree in Driver Education at UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI. From there I taught Driver Education at Spooner and for WITC (Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College) on weekends and during the evening.
I came to Cameron in the Summer of 2015. I am currently the CAVE High School Math teacher. From 2015 - 2023, I was also the CAVE Administrator. I just could not give up working with students though when I retired in June of 2023, so I am continuing on teaching High School Math.
As one might say, you learn your whole life. By my little resume' I do love education, I love to learn new things, and I really love working with students. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding our programs (or math questions).
Thank you for reading my page!
