Mini Brands were the trendiest toy on the market in 2019, getting attention from kids and collectors with their fun blend of realism and surprise. They were created by the company ZURU, who made the toys as miniature duplicates of real-life grocery store items, which were randomly put out together into capsules for an entertaining unboxing experience. ZURU reached around $460 million in sales in the first year. Throughout 2019, they created more series of the toy and even partnered with other big companies like Disney, which helped them sell over 86 million capsules globally by 2021. In 2022, Squishamellows grew to the top of the toy charts, becoming the year’s most popular plush collectible. Squishamellows are soft, comforting stuffed animals that come in various sizes, animals and colors with unique backstories and names. These toys were first introduced in 2017 by the company Kellytoy and became a major success after their rise to fame all over social media platforms. The company was later acquired by a different brand named Jazwares in spring of 2020. Jazwares reached $1 billion in sales in 2022, which was their highest recorded sales of Squishamellows. Many people today still purchase the popular Squishamellow plushies, which has helped Jazwares with their expansion and strong sales throughout the years.
Labubu's have become the trendiest toy collectible in the world during 2025 and continue to be a success. These plush collectibles are appealing to many because they come in blind boxes, which means the person buying the product doesn’t know the style of the toy they will be buying. Labubu’s are designed to look like little monsters that come in different colors and outfits, which were originally inspired by Nordic Folklore. The toy first started off with the artist Kasing Lung, who created the Labubu vision in 2015. They are now being sold by the company Pop Mart. Ever since Pop Mart began selling the toy, they have earned around $670 million in revenue. The Labubu line has recently been experiencing major conflicts due to counterfeit plush toys being made all over the world, leading to the company not getting as much money as they should be receiving. Even with the occurring issues, Labubu is still a major product when it comes to the toy market.
