Ringgold High School Public Safety hosts Basic Jailer Certification.
RHS Public Safety partners with the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office to provide RHS seniors with valuable career training. This is an historic event for RHS and Georgia CTAE.
Ringgold High School Public Safety has four classes that make two pathways. Students are able to choose the Criminal Investigations pathway or Forensic Science pathway. Students may also participate in Skills USA and Ringgold High School CERT.
About me
I am a lifelong resident of Rossville, Georgia and have worked in law enforcement my whole career. I attended Rossville High School. After graduating high school in 1985, I enlisted in the Tennessee Air National Guard as a Security Forces (Military Policeman) to pay my way through college. I retired after 32 years in the the Air Force. I have served in the Gulf War and have deployed four times under Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
In 1990, I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating, I worked briefly for the Chattanooga Police Department and finally settled with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office, where I retired in 2011 after 20 years of service. During my time with Catoosa County, I worked in each of the divisions from Detention Officer, Patrolman, Narcotics Detective, K-9 officer and finally School Resource Officer. I began teaching Public Safety at Ringgold High School in 2011.
