You don’t have to know how to read music or have experience playing bells or chimes to sign up for Handbells at River Bend. Students learn how to read music and all the handbell techniques; all you have to do is sign up! All music materials are provided for students; therefore, no purchases are necessary.
Do you like working in groups? If so, chorus is the place for you! You will never have to sing by yourself unless you choose to audition for a solo. In chorus, you will sing to the tunes of all types of music from older Latin pieces to current popular songs you hear in movies and on the radio.
Although RBTV is only open to 8th graders, we want 7th graders to be aware of this opportunity. RBTV is in charge of putting together a daily broadcast which includes videos, interviews and special segments.
RBTV is composed of news anchors and a technical crew which runs the video and audio mixers, cameras and computer. Students selected for RBTV should have excellent attendance, are able to work independently and have good reading and technical skills.
In order to be considered for RBTV, students submit an application, audition on Flipgrid, and solicit teacher recommendations.
