Percussion

• Vic Firth SD 1 General Drum Sticks and a practice pad, medium hard yarn mallets, and medium hard rubber mallets. 

  • A bell kit is recommended and is available to rent from Music & Arts or The Band Attic, but is not required

• Metronome (most are free on your phones app store or Google Chrome)

• Essential Elements Book I Percussion (all of the above materials are available at Music & Arts in Hickory as a set)

• Same Instrument and accessories from 7th grade, cleaning supplies, and materials such as oil, grease, cleaning cloths, swabs, reeds, etc.

• Essential Elements Book 2- (red) for your instrument

• For clarinets and saxophones- 1 Box of size 2.5 and 1 box size 3 Reeds (Vandoren, Juno, Rico, Royal)
