What is School Based Therapy?
Assists with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Provides short and long-term individual counseling, and crisis intervention
Specialized, in-depth, and focused on addressing individual student needs using Mindfulness practices, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Person-Centered Therapy
Services are offered during the school day for 20-30 minutes, once a week or biweekly depending on student's needs
How to enroll in services
Notify your child's teacher, school counselor or an administrator of your interest in services
An enrollment packet will be sent home to be completed, along with other pertinent forms
School-therapist will reach out before starting services to gather information about your child and provide an opportunity for your questions
School-therapist, school-counselor, administrators and your child's teacher will work collaboratively to ensure student is supported in all areas
Cost of services
School-based therapy will be billed to insurance (private insurance or Medicaid) or self-payment for those without insurance
All billing statements and copays will be mailed to the address provided in the enrollment packet. Payments are never collected at the school location.
Kintegra will absolutely serve anyone, regardless of ability to pay. We will work with you to make sure services are affordable. We offer a discount program for uninsured families called a Sliding Scale Program. Your school-therapist will further discuss this program during your introductory call.
