Poll: What was your biggest "a-ha!" yesterday? | Facilitators may create polls to capture responses
Poll: What do you hope to sort out today? | Facilitators may create polls to capture responses
Discuss: Use your district RBL Pilot Snapshot (below) to:
Make sure everyone is clear on your why/ problem statement and where you are piloting in year 1.
Reflect on what stands out about the glows and grows across your pilot campuses.

Step 1: Watch the RBL Sustainability Rubric - Overview Video
Step 2: Watch the RBL Sustainability Rubric - Domains Video
Step 3: Reflect - Poll: Share a specific example/circumstance of when one of the sustainability domains has impacted (positively or negatively) your effort to initiate or move forward with BL? | Facilitators may create polls to capture responses
EXAMPLE: In the human capital domain, I have seen pilot campuses adjusting schedules to allow pilot teachers to attend RBL workshops and other blended-specific PD and for extra instructional planning time.
Now that you are familiar with the “domains” and “items” in the RBL Sustainability Rubric, this activity will invite you to dig in further and identify your district's current starting point on the RBL Sustainability Rubric.
Step 1: As an individual, please identify the current "level of attainment" for each item in the “must do” domains and get as far as you can on the "may do" domains.
Must do domains: Leadership & Governance; Human Capital; and Academic Results
May do domains: Finance; Communication & Community Engagement
Step 2: Write/jot down evidence for your rubric rating decisions to share in a moment during team discussion.
Step 1: Review the collective ratings and come to consensus on each item. Move the large avatar to mark your consensus rating.
Step 2: Add stickies on the Jamboard with evidence/ concluding statement. One sticky per item.
Repeat for each "must do" domain (Leadership & Governance; Human Capital; and Academic Results). Optional: proceed with "may do" domains as time allows.
Discuss the questions listed below and capture your thinking on your Team Activity File below (Jamboard slide 7)
What are the 2-3 items that seem most relevant to your work right now when you think about what lies ahead?
EXAMPLES:
Content Coordinators: We need to onboard our content coordinators to the RBL work, specifically the connections between the RBL Implementation continuum and our district instructional framework.
Teacher Support: We need to prioritize ensuring our teachers are supported by pressure testing that there are no conflicting messages between what we are asking of them in the RBL pilot efforts and other district initiatives/ work they are involved in.
What do you need to do to move forward on these items?
EXAMPLES:
Plan and execute a presentation at the next content coordinator meeting on 1/8/22. Meet with C&I director to confirm alignment.
Plan to ask Ts in the next pilot PLC/ meeting if there are any such hotspots. As they are raised / make an action plan to resolve.
