Hello! My name is Ranger Faulkner, and I am the Theatre Director at Irma Marsh Middle School for the 2018-2019 school year.

Education

I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Generalist Education Grades 4-8

I hold a Texas Teaching Certificate for grades 4th-8th, as well as additional certifications in English as a Second Language and Theatre for Grades EC-12.

Professional Experience

I began my career teaching 5th grade, in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. After my first year, I decided to move up to the middle school level and began teaching 6th English/Language Arts at Grapevine Middle School. During the next few years, I become qualified to work with Gift/Talented students, was a Team Leader, Department Chair, cheer coach, developed district curriculum for ELA electives and Theatre, and was a Technology Teacher Leader.

In 2014, I was tasked with creating a new Theatre program for our school. We began with 1 mixed grade level, generalized Theatre course of 22 students. After 3 years, our program had increased in enrollment by 600%, we had four levels of Theatre courses, produced 5 shows a year, competed in UIL One Act Play and received Superior Ratings and multiple acting awards, competed and won in multiple Regional Speech Tournaments and had raised over $40K in funds to update and outfit our Theatre space with new sound equipment, lights, sets, costumes, and more!

In the summer of 2017, a family relocation brought me to Downtown Fort Worth. I am very excited to have found my new home as a Lion in Castleberry ISD. I am looking forward to the traditions we will create together as we build our new IMMS Theatre Program. The Tradition Begins!
