Promotion Requirements

Promotion from our middle school is an important and exciting milestone. We have enjoyed watching your children grow and look forward to their exciting journey on to high school.

All 8th graders must meet the following in order to participate in the promotion ceremony and end of year activities:

Students may not fail more than 4 courses during their 7th and 8th grade years, 2 courses if student only attended their 8th grade year.
Students must meet all financial obligations, i.e. paying for, scheduling payment for, or clearance from the Principal for lost or damaged books and/or Library fines.

Promotion Ceremony

Eligible students will be issued 4 guest tickets on the morning of promotion, prior to early dismissal.

All persons age 4 and older attending the ceremony must have their own ticket.

The promotion ceremony will be held on the CMS athletic field on May 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Event may be subjected to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Appropriate Dress

Please remember all dress code rules apply.

Shoes: No "spike" heels or pumps. Only flats or low wedge heels may be worn (for maintenance of the athletic field)

Dresses: Full length dresses are not suggested. Spaghetti straps and/or strapless dresses are not allowed. Shoulders, backs, and midriffs must be covered.

Bottoms: Dress slacks or twill chino pants are appropriate.

Shirts: Button down shirts, polo shirts, or blouses may be worn.
