Cameren Lay - Instructor

Cameren began her guard career as a freshman at Monett High School where she participated in both the fall and winter seasons. She continued both activities throughout her high school career. During her senior year, the Monett High School Winter Guard was promoted twice to the Scholastic C Class within MCCGA. Cameren went on to spin with the Pride of Missouri State Color Guard and National Avenue Winter Guard for two years. While in the program at MSU, the Pride Band was featured on America’s Got Talent, performed an exhibition for Greater St. Louis, and marched the Magic Kingdom’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at Disney World in Florida. She performed at the Independent A and Independent Open levels with National Avenue, having been promoted to the higher class her first year after performing in Winter Guard International’s World Finals.
She began as the guard technician and sponsor at Monett High School from 2012-2014 before starting with Cassville as a technician and choreographer in the winter of 2014. She was excited to take over as the head director for the 2019-2020 school year.
Cameren is married and has a little boy, Koleman. She and her husband, Grant, enjoy off-roading in their jeep, hiking at Roaring River, eating pizza and ice cream, and taking Koleman on trips to the zoo and aquarium. Her hobbies include reading, watching Disney movies and dancing with Koleman, and being an active member of the Cassville Mothers of Preschoolers group.
