When we do student spotlights, we choose a special someone to interview and these are the students for this month.
September Student Spotlights
Lucas Powers is Mrs. Spencer’s suggestion for student spotlight this month. She says that he is a very great student and that he even won the student of the day on October 23. Lucas says that Mrs. Spencer is a very fun teacher, and so far this year his favorite thing about second grade has been doing Ninja Math. He also tries to be a goodtrojan every day by picking up garbage to help keep the school clean. Lucas thinks the hardest subject in school is math, so his goal for this year is to do better on math tests and try to understand math a little better.

October Student Spotlights
Riding an elephant is on Elliett Jones' bucket list. She feels 6th grade is really different than 5th and to her, respect means to do regard for the feelings, wishes, rights of other people. Her favorite animal is an elephant and her favorite color is light green. Elliett likes writing the most and she is most afraid of what's in the dark, or Diana.
Spencer Ward's favorite color is
Eliza Branch is in 1st grade and enjoys school. She says that her teacher Mrs.Ledbetter is nice and she likes it when she reads books to her class. Eliza thinks that being in 1st grade is a BIG step from being in kindergarten. Also, Eliza told me that being responsible means doing what you are supposed to do, and that her favorite color is pretty much all of them. Lastly, Eliza told me that the trojan pledge means to not do bad stuff.

Sebastian Arangel is in kindergarten and loves learning. Mrs. Evans and Miss Widaker said that he is always trying his best in school and is always being kind to everyone. Sebastian also is willing to help out whenever anyone needs it. Lastly, he goes out of his way every single day just to be kind and excellent .

September student spotlights
Chase Tracy is in 4th grade and is very kind according to Mrs. Smith. She also said that he is considerate, helpful, and respectful. He is always on task and is not afraid to ask for help. He is truly an outstanding student. I asked Chase these questions and this is what he said. The first question is: What does respect mean to you? He replied, "To help others." He also said that his inspiration to work hard is his parents.
Mrs. Evans said that Griffin Ward is always on task and working hard. She also said that she is super kind and always trying to please. Griffin's meaning of respect is to be nice to the people around her. Her inspiration to work hard are worksheets and good grades.
Knox Boden is in Kindergarten and Miss Whitaker and Mrs. Evans say that he is always trying his best and being a great friend to everyone. Knox says he loves school, (especially recess). He also said that he loves being a Trojan because everyone is responsible and respectful and that he says that he tries to do that too. Knox also loves his teachers so much because they are so fun and amazing.

Trinity Andresen is in 3rd grade and is loving school so far. She says that being a Trojan means being responsible, respectful, excellent, and safe. I asked her what being respectful means she said it means being nice to others. Trinity likes doing math in school and says that Mrs.Gilbert is an amazing teacher and teaches their class well.
