The Edmond S. Ricanati, MD

IQ Facilitator Award

The Edmond S. Ricanati, M.D. IQ Facilitator Award recognizes faculty who regularly engage in IQ facilitation, display high quality facilitation skills, provide effective feedback to students, mentor other IQ faculty,  and function as ambassadors of the Case Inquiry program and the WR2 Curriculum.  The Ricanati Family has a long history of service to others and excellence in Medical Education.  In the spirit of promoting mentorship that was so integral to Dr. Edmond Ricanati's teaching, this fund was established to recognize one or more faculty who facilitate small groups such as Case Inquiry teams.

The Tom Mettee, MD Foundations of Clinical Medicine Award

The Tom Mettee, MD Foundations of Clinical Medicine Award is for exceptional contributions in teaching and mentoring to a physician that we have felt deserving of this to honor Dr. Tom Mettee. It is a biennial award that involves a committee of faculty, students, and staff to review individuals recommended for consideration typically presented at the Annual Education Retreat for Medical Education.

Academy of Scholar Educators

The Academy functions as an active service community for educators. Academy membership recognizes CWRU School of Medicine faculty who have made sustained and significant contributions to excellence and innovation in medical education.

Recognize contributions to education in the prior academic year; promote educational scholarship, recognizing a scholarly approach to teaching and learning; and advance careers of medical educators.
