Stipend Policies and Funding Opportunities

The BME department does not provide financial support during the M.S. portion of this program, but it may be obtained on an individual basis with faculty. Formal acknowledgement of this discussion in the mentor's letter is a requirement for admission to the BS/MS program.

There are three requirements to be fulfilled when transitioning from the MS Program to the PhD Program:

1.  Students must take and pass the PhD Qualifier Exam.

2.  Students must have secured financial support from a BME-approved PhD supervisor.

3.  Students may then transition directly into the PhD program without finishing their MS.
