I grew up here in Chambersburg. It's pretty exciting to be teaching in the same district that I went to school. While my mom's family is from this area, we also have ties to the midwest. My dad's family is from Illinois (near Chicago). Needless to say, I am a very loyal to Chicago sports...especially the Cubs!!! (I tolerate the Steelers and Orioles too, because my husband likes them!!) After graduating from CASHS, I went to college at West Chester University. I graduated from WCU with a degree in K-12 Health & Physical Education. I spent the next couple years teaching out in eastern PA (Souderton and Norristown). The opportunity then arose for me to return to Chambersburg and continue my teaching career here. After three years of teaching 6th grade Health at CAMS, I transferred to elementary physical education and have been at this level ever since. I love working with this age group of kids! My husband is also an educator. He is a Science teacher and Assistant Principal at Shalom Christian Academy. He coaches SCA's middle school volleyball team as well. We have a daughter who is in middle school. She is on the swim team, plays volleyball, and likes to ski. As a family, we enjoy traveling, camping (more like glamping), and playing pickleball.
