What is Title I?
Title I is a federally funded program paid for by grant money.
Here are some facts you should know about Title I services:
Schools receive Title I services based on the number of students who qualify for free and reduced meals compared to the school district’s average.
The Title I grant pays for intervention specialists, assistants, books, and materials.
Title I Parent and Family Engagement money is used to organize events and buy resources and books that are sent home to help families support student achievement.
Title I Intervention Specialists and assistants can see any child in the school who needs additional reading or math instruction/intervention.
