Email from Matt to Band on January 21, 2023:

On January 9, the board met (via Zoom). We discussed, as we do every month, COVID. We voted to change the COVID policy so that any full vaccination (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of J&J) for COVID is sufficient—no particular original series or boosters are necessary.

Because the newest subvariant of Omicron seems to evade any prior established immunity, whether from vaccination or an earlier infection, we also voted to remind everyone to please stay home if you are not feeling well in any way, even if you test negative for COVID.

On a separate note about the band (pun intended), remember that if Gorham schools are closed on Monday then we will NOT have rehearsal. Whether or not Gorham schools are open, I will send an email to everyone and a message to everyone who is signed up for our Remind “classroom” if rehearsal is canceled. I may also send an email and Remind message if things look questionable but rehearsal is still on.

In addition, just for an extra way for you to check to be sure, I will put a banner at the top of the members’ website (www.cascobaywindsymphony.org/members or members.casco bay wind symphony.org) indicating whether or not we have rehearsal.
