It's an app
It's an extension
It's linked to Google and Canvas...It's awesome!
Check out this one minute video to see a quick overview of what it can do!

It's already on your Chromebook! On the right side of your URL bar, you'll see a little blue circle with a white K... that's Kami!
If you are on a personal computer, open your Chrome browser, sign in to Chrome with your school email address and you'll see the Kami extension!
If you don't see the K, you may need to click on the grey "puzzle piece" next to your profile picture in the upper right hand corner of Chrome. Once you click on the grey puzzle piece, click the push pin next to Kami so that Kami stays in your extension bar.
The first time you use it, you'll have to LOG IN WITH GOOGLE (red box) and follow the steps to get into Kami. This links up Kami with your Google Drive.
What you work on in Kami will be saved in folders in your Drive. Depending on how the teacher uploads the content, you'll probably have a folder named "Kami" and one named "Kami Uploads".
If a teacher uses the embed option and you have the document inside Canvas, then you can find your document in a folder called Kami, with a sub-folder with the name of your class. There may be an additional folder with the name of the assignment.
If you start a new document or you upload a document from your computer, then you'll find it in "Kami Uploads".
You can also move documents and rename them in the naming bar in Kami.
If a teacher provides a link and you need to use Kami to annotate the document, follow these directions.
If a teacher sets the assignment to open in a new window, this is what it will look like and how you can turn it in.
When a teacher embeds the document in Canvas, you can use Kami in that window, but you also have the option to open it up from your Google Drive.
When a teacher wants you to upload a document that you've started from scratch in Kami you can submit as a downloaded PDF with annotations or you can submit through your Google Drive.
You can recover your work by going to the upper right hand side, clicking the three lines and finding "restore annotations". If you have multiple pages, you'll have to do it for each page. You can see more by clicking HERE.
