Christian Academy History

Christian Academy was established in 1996 to provide excellent Christian education in the Grand Strand area. Christian Academy is an interdenominational, coeducational, college-preparatory school serving students in grades K-12. More than fifty churches are represented within this small school population. The school is governed by an independent Board of Trustees.

Vision

The vision of Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach is to graduate spiritually and intellectually equipped young men and women to profoundly impact the world and lead it to Christ.

Mission

Christian Academy is a Christ-centered school serving the community by developing young Christian leaders through partnering with parents; to fuse the Christian faith with academics, athletics and fine arts into an excellent educational experience, and to graduate students prepared for college and ready to impact the world for Christ. The underlying mission of Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach is "to provide academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment."

Accreditations

Christian Academy has been accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), AdvancEd, and South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) since 2002. A SCISA STEM Certification was awarded in 2018.

Faculty and Staff

Christian Academy values excellence in academics, believing that excellence honors God. Faculty includes a 6-member leadership team, 32 teaching faculty, and 4 support staff. More than 50% of the teaching faculty has an advanced degree. The average class size is 15 students.
