Grading Policy

  • This addendum to the C.I.S.D. Grading Policy pertains to the 5th and 6th 6-weeks only. In the event that schools resume as normal, adjustments may be made to the 6th six weeks calculations.

  • For the At-Home Learning period, students will receive a Pass / Fail / Incomplete grade. This will be for all grades, K-12, and in every subject.

  • I - INCOMPLETE (Assignment grades will translate to a 0 if missing assignments are not submitted).

  • P - PASS (100% in grade calculation).

  • F - FAIL (50% - 69% grade calculation based on the amount of work completed).

  • Multiple assignments may be provided each week but a maximum of two assignments per week will be used for grade purposes. Those assignments will be graded on a Pass/Fail basis.

  • Grades should reflect mastery and be assigned based on work submitted; flexibility should be provided on due dates and students should not be penalized for late assignments or for the inability to access online content.

  • All these guidelines are subject to change based on TEA guidelines and/or local considerations.
