Grading Policy

This addendum to the C.I.S.D. Grading Policy pertains to the 5th and 6th 6-weeks only. In the event that schools resume as normal, adjustments may be made to the 6th six weeks calculations.

For the At-Home Learning period, students will receive a Pass / Fail / Incomplete grade. This will be for all grades, K-12, and in every subject.

I - INCOMPLETE (Assignment grades will translate to a 0 if missing assignments are not submitted).

P - PASS (100% in grade calculation).

F - FAIL (50% - 69% grade calculation based on the amount of work completed).

Multiple assignments may be provided each week but a maximum of two assignments per week will be used for grade purposes. Those assignments will be graded on a Pass/Fail basis.

Grades should reflect mastery and be assigned based on work submitted; flexibility should be provided on due dates and students should not be penalized for late assignments or for the inability to access online content.

All these guidelines are subject to change based on TEA guidelines and/or local considerations.
