I am so excited to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year! My name is Ms. Wardell, and this will be my 16th year in the classroom and my fifth year at Carteret High School. This year may have many of you experiencing a mixture of feelings. You may be worried, excited, unsure, or just feeling resigned to the unknown that is going to be the beginning of the school year, but your teachers and the staff at the high school are well aware of the many feelings you have, and we will be here for you every step of this journey that is your high school career. 

This year Biology is going to be an adventure. We will be doing many hands-on activities and we will be asking you to discover natural phenomena that occur in our everyday lives. I promise it will be a rewarding process and the skills that you will develop this year will lead you toward becoming well-rounded global citizens and to success in your high school career and beyond.

Anatomy and Physiology is a dual enrollment class, meaning that you have the option of enrolling into Middlesex County College for this class and it will count as college credits, without ever having to leave the school. This is an amazing opportunity and I highly recommend this option for all students.
