Open Rosters by clicking the star on the left side
Click the blue plus (+) sign in the top right
Name your roster and add students. You DO NOT have to add all the students in your class/home room, only the students you want/need notifications for.
Select the notifications you want to receive, new incidents and/or new actions. You may want to select both so you will know about incidents and about the consequences.
Click Save
Click File explorer
Type in \\prs-bes (cut and paste for best results)
Choose your printer(s)

Access Scholastic News http://www.scholastic.com/
You will log into your scholastic account through Google Classroom
Go to My Dashboard; this is located to the right, click on the person image.
Click on Manage Access
Click Import a Class; it will have the Google Classroom icon.
You will be prompted to your Google Classroom; select the class you want to import. Once your class is imported make sure to check the box beside current grade. If you leave the students unchecked they will not be able to access the digital issues.
Now you are ready to use Scholastic News digitally.
You can assign the Skill Sheets using Google Slides. Follow the instructions on the first slide.
Do people at school know you by one name but your first name is something different? You can help avoid confusion by changing you name on your school Google account.
Open Gmail
Click the upper right corner where you see the Carteret County School logo.
Click Manage Your Google Account
Click Personal Info
Now you can change your name or add a picture

1. Click on the magnifying glass icon next to the Start icon on the taskbar.
2. Type "settings" in the search bar then click on Settings.
3. Type "startup" in the search bar on the upper left.
4. Select Startup Apps.
5. Scroll down until you find Microsoft Teams and toggle it off.

My username and/or password does not work. What do I do?
Make sure you are using the correct username/password.
Accessing your account via telephone call- your id# will be your telephone number and your pin# will be the last 4 numbers of your SS number (you can check with your bookkeeper to verify phone number and pin #)
Accessing your account via website- your username and password were created by you & it will not be the same as when you call the system. Once created these usernames cannot be changed, only passwords can be reset.
I forgot my username/password, what do I do?
You can view your username or reset your password 24/7 via online at www.aesoponline.com.
Click the link Forgot Username or Forgot Password. If you receive a message to contact an administrator because your account is locked out, wait 30 minutes so the system can reset itself, and try again. How to create an absence?
Once you log in, select the Create Absence Tab.
Select a date or multiple dates.
Select whether a sub is required or not.
Enter Type of Absence.
Select Full day or half day- the times will be defaulted based on your school’s preferences. Add any notes to your bookkeeper/admin.
Add any notes to your sub- you can upload your daily plans for your sub too.
Create Absence and Select Sub. If you do not know your sub, then select Create Absence. *You can only assign your sub if your absence has been approved. Otherwise place a note for your bookkeeper for sub preferences. *
How do I cancel an absence?
You can cancel an absence via telephone or through the website. Select Scheduled absence tab and delete absence. You cannot cancel a job less than 24 hours before it begins. Make sure your bookkeeper knows you are canceling an absence.
How can I contact a sub?
Select Directory from main window
Type in Substitutes last name- a list will auto populate below. Only active subs will be listed.

GoGuardian Teacher Training Guide
If you are not already logged into GoGuardian, you can login by clicking "Log in with Google" and choosing your school account.
Click help in the bottom left corner
You may have to clear out a survey box in order to see the full screen
type in the website Clever.com
Click Log in as a student (at top right)
Type "Beaufort" where it says "Type school name here" wait a second
Select "Beaufort Elementary School, Carteret County School District, NC"
Click Log in with NC EdCloud
Click Scan Student QR code
To show or hide desktop icons
Right-click (or press and hold) the desktop, point to View, and then select Show desktop icons to add or clear the check mark.
Note: Hiding all the icons on your desktop doesn't delete them, it just hides them until you choose to show them again.

Click People
Click My Students on the left of the screen
Click the student's name
Click Change Password
A dialogue box will appear on the right. In younger grades, you can create a unique password for them to use all year. You will have the choice to change password to where students can create their own password after login. It is best practice and a good digital safety opportunity to have students create their own password.
