VOLUNTEER ROLES

BUDDY TEAM

Accompany and assist assigned guest throughout the evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event. Sit with their guest during dinner and engage with them. Volunteer buddies must be at least 16 years old. MUST attend Buddy training in addition to Volunteer Training.

FOOD PREP AND SERVE TEAM

Food preparation and set up food and beverages in the main event space, and serve the meal.

SET-UP/DECORATING TEAM
We will need volunteers to help during the week leading up to the event as well as the night of the event.

VOLUNTEER BREAK ROOM TEAM
This will be a place for volunteers to grab a snack before the event and will be open for a limited time during the event.

PARKING/SAFETY/SECURITY TEAM
Walk around and monitor the main event space and outdoor areas, making sure exits are not blocked and all areas remain wheelchair accessible. We will also have on site uniformed Law Enforcement personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and volunteers.

PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM
We have photographers who will be here doing a formal picture for each guest and walking around doing candid shots.

KARAOKE TEAM
Assist guests getting into the karaoke area, walking around and engaging the guests. Their buddies will have already helped them in choosing a song. 

PAPARAZZI/SERVERS/DANCE FLOOR
Welcome guests as they enter the Victory Christian Center. Treat honored guests like celebrities and VIPs. After dinner, help engage guests on the dance floor. 

PHOTO BOOTH TEAM
Assist guests with the selfie props and taking pictures for them and their buddies. Also serve as Paparazzi as guests arrive.

VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN TEAM
Greet volunteers, give them their name badge and direct them to their area to serve. This team will be asked to assist in some other areas as well.

BUDDY CHECK-IN TEAM
Greet buddies, give them their lanyard name badge along with their assigned guest’s lanyard. This team will be asked to assist in some other areas as well.

CURBSIDE GREETER/LIMO ATTENDANT TEAM
Assist guests upon arrival as they exit their vehicles and direct them to the red carpet door entrance. Later assist guests getting onto the LIMO. Be available at the end of the evening as guests return to their vehicles following the event.

FLOWERS TEAM
Help guests select and pin on their flowers or place them on their wrist.

HAIR AND MAKEUP TEAM

Assist female guests with their hair and makeup.

SHOE SHINE TEAM

Give male guests a shoe shine.

SENSORY ROOM TEAM
Spend time with guests who may have become over-stimulated on the dance floor or in other areas of the prom. Interact with them by participating in sensory activities, singing or listening to calming music or simply providing them with some quiet time. This team may be a part of the Paparazzi as guests arrive.

** TEAR DOWN TEAM - EVERYONE!! **
Not a sign-up sheet for this but we need EVERYONE to help with this after the guests have left!!! Carefully take down decorations, tables, chairs, etc. and clean up the event space.
