Project Pants is a project started by local 8th graders at Eagle Valley Middle School. We wanted to take a new approach to local waste along with finding creative ways to give this waste a second life. This project takes used and ruined jeans and either gives them to those who need them or if the jeans cannot be used again they will be sent to a denim insulation factory. Another part of this project is that we want to involve the community not only in our project but in others. We want to find ways to organize a Sustainability Day where the community can come and learn and donate to other sustainability projects in the area. We not only want our project to succeed but also those in our community as the main goal is to find creative ways to be sustainable in our community.
