8th Grade Chattanooga Trip: The 8th Grade Trip (May 10th - 13th) payment deposits can be paid via Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Students will receive a trip info/contract packet once the first deposit is made (it was due Sept. 25th). Please email Mrs. Ussery with questions at kim.ussery@carrolltoncityschools.net.
7th Grade Jekyll Island Trip: The 7th grade trip to Jekyll Island (January 27th - 29th) is officially open! Payment secures your spot and can be made on the Infinite Campus Store. The trip is scheduled for January 27 - 29th and the total cost is $400. Spots are limited and already starting to fill up so grab a friend and get signed up today! Don't miss out on this fun trip at the beach with your friends!

CMS Morning Broadcast: can be viewed on YouTube each school day and features students and staff! Please subscribe to our channel @cmstrojans, to be notified when the daily announcements are available! Our broadcast is interactive and we have launched our Hub! Go to http://trojan.gold/broadcasthub - from there you can complete student shoutout requests, submit ideas or questions to us, let us know about your birthday, and submit videos and pictures for the Broadcast. The school announcements and At-a-Glance sites are also linked on the Hub. Please ask your teachers to add it to your Google Classroom if they have not done so already!

Student Council: Interested in running for CMS Student Council? Applications are NOW OPEN, but act fast! You have ONE WEEK to apply! We are looking for students who are full of school spirit, honest, trustworthy, dependable, make good choices, and want to make a difference! Student Council members will help be the voice for some school decisions, organize fundraisers like snack cart, and give back to our school and community. Here's how to apply: Find the application here or on the Broadcast Hub. You must have TWO teacher recommendations. The recommendation link is included on the application form, and also on the Broadcast Hub. Students are responsible for sending them to two teachers from either this year or last year. ALL applications and teacher recommendations must be submitted by this FRIDAY AT NOON! Voting will take place the week following Fall Break. Remember, Student Council is an elected group each year, so previous membership does NOT guarantee a spot. Students selected for Student Council will have a $25 membership fee to cover apparel and club activities. Don't miss your chance to represent CMS, have your voice heard, and make a difference! Boys Basketball Tryouts: Try-Outs for 8th Grade Boys will be Mon., Oct. 5th from 3:45 – 6 PM, 6th & 7th Grade Boys will be Wed., Oct. 7th from 3:45 – 6 PM. Best of the Best Tryouts for all grades will be Fri., Oct. 9th from 3:45 – 5:30 PM. All athletes must have a current sports physical on file or bring a copy of their physical with them in order to participate in tryouts. If you have any questions, see Coach A. Phillips.
Girls Basketball Tryouts: Try-Outs for Girls Basketball will be October 6th & 8th at the CMS Gym from 6 PM - 8 PM. Please make sure you have a current physical and an athlete release form turned in to the front office. Also, arrive by 5:45 to sign in!
Swim Team Tryouts: Students interested in trying out for the CMS Swim Team need to see Coach Johnson prior to tryouts on October 6th. Info is linked here.
FCA Meeting: FCA for 6th grade will be this Friday, October 9th at 7:55 am in the Media Center. We will continue to meet based on grade level this year - so make sure you listen for your grade-levels day on the announcements or check for dates on our Google Classroom.
CMS Gymnastics Interest Meeting: If you are interested in trying out for the CMS Gymnastics team for this school year, we will have an student interest meeting in the CMS Gym on Tues. Oct. 20th at 8 am. Through this meeting you will receive information about tryouts, what is required for tryouts, and the skill requirements to make the team. If you are interested in trying out for the team this year, please scan the QR Code on this flyer and fill out the Google Form before Thanksgiving Break. Art Club: Calling all artists! CMS Art Club will meet the LAST Monday and Friday of each month, in the Art Room and go from dismissal until 4:45 pm. It is a student-led club where you can create, collaborate, and show off your artistic talents through different projects, exhibits, competitions, and more. The club fee is $40 per semester, visit Mrs. Sales room for an application and if you love creating art, come check out CMS Art Club!
Academic Bowl Practices and Meets: Academic Bowl Practice in Room #823 will be very Wednesday after school from 3:45PM - 5 PM. Pick up promptly in front of CMS at 5 PM. Meets: Tues. 11/3 at Central Middle - Tues. 12/8 at Carrollton Middle School - Tues. 1/26 at Rome Middle School - Tues. 2/23 at Haralson Middle School.
