CHS Silver Cord

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Silver Cord Program is to instill within students the importance of community service and encourage students to be accountable for investing in their own education and in the community on a regular basis during their school years.

The WHY

Silver Cord members build citizenship skills, foster caring relationships with those around them and grow self-confidence all while contributing to their community. This is also a great way to show colleges that you are a part of your community and for local scholarships or resumes. The 200 hours of volunteerism is a great way to show you care about where you live and are trying to better your community by being a caring citizen.

Date Volunteer Service Performed:     Return to the Silver Cord office no later than:

First Semester: End of January

Second Semester: Last day of school; April 30 for seniors
