Good morning--I hope that you had a good weekend.  Students worked so hard on their iReady Diagnostics this past week.  They've shown some very positive growth.  I will be sharing the data with you next week.  

🕺May 16th is the 8th-grade dance. It will be held in the CCMS Gymnasium, 7-10pm.  

May 27th:  8th-grade graduation at 1pm  (doors will open at noon).  I will be sending out FAST PASS info to help expedite your entry into graduation SOON!

Please mark your calendars for

 CCMS 5th ,6th, & 7th-grade Awards Day to be held on May 26th.  We have worked with all the other schools to stagger our events this year.  We hope it helps with being able to visit other schools.  I will be sending out the grade-level times next week.  They will be scheduled in the a.m. and NOT after lunch.

KSA testing begins May 7th.  Please encourage your student to do their very best.  We have met with your student this week and established KSA Math and Reading goals.  They can do this!

8th-grade students have a "dress rehearsal" this week on Thursday, April 23rd, for their Capstone presentations.  We will be giving students feedback for their presentations coming up on May 19 and 20.  

Ms. Maggie Stevens and I will continue to help students with their presentations. They will be presenting their oral defenses of learning during the school day to their teachers, admin, and community members.

🕺El 16 de mayo se celebrará el baile de graduación de 8.º grado. Tendrá lugar en el gimnasio de CCMS, de 7:00 p. m. a 10:00 p. m.

27 de mayo: Graduación de 8.º grado a la 1:00 p. m. (las puertas abrirán al mediodía). ¡Próximamente enviaré información sobre el "FAST PASS" para ayudar a agilizar su entrada a la ceremonia de graduación!

Día de Entrega de Premios de CCMS para los grados 5.º, 6.º y 7.º, que se celebrará el 26 de mayo. Hemos trabajado en coordinación con todas las demás escuelas para escalonar nuestros eventos este año. Esperamos que esto les facilite la posibilidad de visitar otras escuelas. La próxima semana enviaré los horarios específicos para cada nivel de grado. Estarán programados para la mañana y NO para después del almuerzo.

Las pruebas KSA comienzan el 7 de mayo. Por favor, animen a sus hijos a dar lo mejor de sí mismos. Esta semana nos hemos reunido con sus hijos y hemos establecido metas para las pruebas KSA de Matemáticas y Lectura. ¡Ellos pueden lograrlo!

Los estudiantes de 8.º grado tendrán un "ensayo general" esta semana, el jueves 23 de abril, para sus presentaciones del proyecto Capstone. Les daremos a los estudiantes retroalimentación sobre las presentaciones que realizarán los días 19 y 20 de mayo.

La Sra. Maggie Stevens y yo continuaremos ayudando a los estudiantes con sus presentaciones. Realizarán sus defensas orales de aprendizaje durante el horario escolar, ante sus maestros, el personal administrativo y miembros de la comunidad.

We have submitted our Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) to the Kentucky Department of Education.  Here is a look at the plan and what will be our driving forces for this school year.  Modifications and tweaks will be made as necessary.
