What is AIG?
AIG stands for Academically or Intellectually Gifted. Students are identified through teacher or parent nomination (beginning in 3rd grade) and testing to show they are advanced in Reading and/or Math. These students receive additional services to enrich the regular classroom curriculum.
Carolina Charter Academy is a K-8 charter school serving students from Wake, Harnett, and Johnston counties. Our school has been categorized as small and rural, and we serve students from a diverse array of racial and ethnic groups. We have students who come from economically disadvantaged background and immigrants. With a smaller community, our vision is to serve our smaller population and community in Southern Wake county.
